SOGO Gingerbread Village & Contest

Wednesday, September 17, 2014 - 10:00am to Tuesday, December 16, 2014 - 8:00pm

The SOGO Gingerbread House Contest will be held within the SOGO group of retailers. Community members will enter their gingerbread houses into the competition. Those houses will be on display throughout the holiday season at SOGO District Stores so that they can be viewed and judged. Winning entrants will be rewarded with cash prizes and special awards ceremony as well as featured in media at InWeekly, Blab and Pensacola News Journal.

Christmas at the Clinic: Auction & Gala

‘Christmas at the Clinic’ is a Festival of Trees that will display beautifully decorated Christmas trees and wreaths donated by area decorators and businesses. Many trees and wreaths will include gifts of substantial value. There will be collegiate themed trees, some specifically for the young at heart, others with a variety of color schemes, and many creative wreaths to suit any home or office. Themes from last year included hunting, cooking, candy land, woodlands and a fabulous Pensacola Pelican wreath.

Donna J. Jacobi

Donna has volunteered with Health and Hope Clinic since its founding.  She teaches parttime with FSU College of Medicine, serving as the Geriatrics Clerkship Director for 4th year medical students.  Donna returned to her hometown to practice internal medicine, later focusing on geriatric care, after 5 years in Flomaton, Alabama (where she met her husband!).  She is a 'Bama graduate and went to Vanderbilt Medical School and to University of Alabama in Birmingham Hospitals for residency training.  She is a very active volunteer in her church and enjoys time with her extended family.

Jennie Lowery

Jennie Lowery and her husband, Greg, have lived in the area since 2001 when they moved here with Greg's job.  Jennie is an acute care nurse practitioner and has worked for Cardiology Consultants in Pensacola since 2002.  They are members of Olive Baptist Church and enjoy boating activities in their spare time.

Laura Harris

Laura is a Physician Assistant who currently practices in the field of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology at Medical Center Clinic.  She graduated from the University of South Alabama Physician Assistant program in 2001, and has been practicing continuously since that time.  Her undergraduate studies were in Biology and Chemistry at Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina.  Laura has served as Board Member, Secretary, Vice President and President of the Pensacola Runners Association and continues to volunteer for Health and Hope Clinic regularly.  In her free time, she enjoys running,
